Our creations technical advances

From a 1930s discovery to a precision material

Polystyrene, commonly known as EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), has evolved from a lightweight discovery in the 1930s into one of the most versatile and increasingly sustainable materials today.

Density

We work in low density EPS, the ultra-light grade for signage, décor and packaging.

Low density

Ultra-light for protective packaging, signage, and lightweight décor.

Recycling Advances

Improved mechanical and chemical recycling processes (including pyrolysis for monomer recovery) enable high-quality reuse, often multiple cycles with minimal degradation.

Local Partnerships

Every offcut from our Cape Town workshop is collected and processed responsibly, with no waste to landfill where possible, closing the loop into new blocks, building products, or decor items.

Industry Bodies

We're proud to partner with leading local organizations like the Polystyrene Association of South Africa (PASA), African Polystyrene Industry Alliance (APIA), and initiatives such as the Atlantis community recycling hub (turning waste into eco-bricks) and companies like New Earth Recycling.

By the numbers

South Africa leads regionally, achieving over 30% post-consumer recycling rates and certifying EPS as fully recyclable.
